Abdirahman OS Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 29, 2026

Abdirahman OS is a personal operating system built and operated by Abdirahman Warsame for his own individual use. It is not a public product and does not allow members of the public to create accounts.

This Privacy Policy explains how Abdirahman OS accesses, uses, stores, protects, and deletes information obtained through Google APIs, including Google Calendar data.

1. Operator

Abdirahman OS is operated by Abdirahman Warsame as a single-user personal application running on systems and hardware he owns or controls.

There is no public registration, no customer database, and no access provided to unrelated third-party users.

For privacy questions or data-deletion requests, contact:

[email protected]

2. Google Account and Calendar Access

Abdirahman OS may connect to Google accounts owned or controlled by Abdirahman Warsame.

The System currently requests the following Google OAuth permissions:

  • Google Calendar access, used to read and, when directly requested by the user, create or modify calendar events and calendar information.

  • userinfo.email, used to identify the Google account associated with a calendar connection.

  • openid, used as part of Google account authentication.

Abdirahman OS does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or other Google Workspace products unless such functionality is separately added in the future and this Privacy Policy is updated accordingly.

3. Google Data Collected and Stored

When a Google account is connected, Abdirahman OS may store the following information in its private database:

  • The connected Google account's email address.

  • Connection and synchronization status.

  • Google Calendar names and identifiers.

  • Calendar colors and access roles.

  • Calendar synchronization metadata.

  • Calendar event titles.

  • Event descriptions.

  • Event locations.

  • Event start and end times.

  • All-day event status.

  • Event attendee information.

  • Other event data returned by the Google Calendar API that is necessary for synchronization and operation of the calendar features.

  • Google OAuth access and refresh tokens required to maintain the authorized connection.

This information is used only to provide calendar, scheduling, personal-assistant, and related personal operating-system functionality to Abdirahman Warsame.

4. How Google Data Is Used

Google Calendar data is used to provide functionality such as:

  • Displaying calendars and upcoming events inside the Abdirahman OS Command Center.

  • Creating a unified view across multiple connected Google calendars.

  • Helping organize schedules, tasks, projects, and priorities.

  • Creating, modifying, or reviewing calendar events when directly requested by the user.

  • Answering user-initiated questions about scheduling or calendar availability.

  • Providing context to the personal AI assistant when the user directly requests a task that requires calendar information.

Google user data is not used for advertising, audience profiling, data brokerage, or unrelated commercial purposes.

5. Use of Google Data With the AI Assistant

Abdirahman OS includes a personal AI assistant called Hermes. Hermes currently uses Anthropic Claude models as part of its reasoning capabilities.

Google Calendar data is not automatically or continuously sent to an AI model merely because a Google account is connected.

Calendar information may be provided to the AI assistant when Abdirahman Warsame directly initiates a request that requires calendar information, such as:

  • "What meetings do I have tomorrow?"

  • "Find time on my calendar for this task."

  • "Prepare me for my next meeting."

  • "Create a calendar event for Friday."

In those situations, only information necessary to fulfill the requested functionality may be processed by the AI service.

Google Workspace API data, including raw or derived Google user data, is not used to develop, improve, train, or fine-tune generalized, non-personalized, foundational, or publicly available artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

The System does not sell Google data or provide it to AI providers for their own advertising, profiling, or independent commercial purposes.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

Abdirahman OS does not sell, rent, or disclose Google user data to third parties for their own independent purposes.

Limited processing may occur through service providers required to operate functionality requested by the user.

These may include:

Google
Provides authentication and Google Calendar API services.

Cloudflare
Provides secure network access, encrypted transport, and authentication controls for the private Command Center.

Anthropic
Provides AI model processing when the user directly invokes functionality requiring the personal AI assistant.

These providers are used only as necessary to deliver the System's functionality.

Abdirahman OS does not use Google user data for advertising and does not currently contain advertising, data-broker, or third-party behavioral-analytics integrations.

7. Security

Abdirahman OS uses technical safeguards designed to protect connected Google account information.

These include:

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored in the application database.

  • The encryption key is stored separately using macOS Keychain rather than in a plaintext application configuration file.

  • OAuth tokens are not exposed to the browser frontend.

  • The Command Center is protected by Cloudflare Access.

  • The Command Center also requires a separate application-level authentication credential.

  • The underlying application service is not directly exposed to the public Internet.

  • Traffic to the Command Center is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

  • Sensitive credentials are kept separate from AI conversation context where technically possible.

No security system can guarantee absolute security, but Abdirahman OS is designed to minimize unnecessary exposure of sensitive information.

8. Data Retention

Google Calendar and account information may remain in the private Abdirahman OS database while it is needed to operate the System.

Revoking or disconnecting a Google account stops future synchronization once the authorization is no longer valid.

Previously synchronized calendar information may remain in the System's private database until it is manually deleted.

There is currently no automatic time-based deletion schedule for previously synchronized historical calendar data.

9. Data Deletion

Abdirahman Warsame may revoke Google authorization at any time through the Google Account permissions page:

https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Revoking authorization prevents Abdirahman OS from making additional authorized Google API requests using that connection.

To request deletion of previously stored Google account information, calendar information, OAuth connection records, or related locally stored data, contact:

[email protected]

Deletion requests will be handled manually because Abdirahman OS is a single-user personal system.

10. User Control

The owner of Abdirahman OS controls which Google accounts are connected to the System.

Access can be revoked at any time through Google's account-permissions controls independently of Abdirahman OS.

Connecting one Google account does not automatically authorize other Google accounts. Each account must separately authorize access through Google's OAuth process.

11. No Sale or Advertising Use

Abdirahman OS does not:

  • Sell Google user data.

  • Rent Google user data.

  • Use Google user data for advertising.

  • Build advertising profiles from Google user data.

  • Provide Google user data to data brokers.

  • Use Google user data for unrelated marketing.

  • Allow unrelated third parties to access the System's private calendar database.

12. Google API Services User Data Policy

Abdirahman OS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google API Services User Data Policy:

https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy

This includes restrictions on the use, transfer, disclosure, and processing of Google user data.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the functionality of Abdirahman OS changes, including changes to:

  • Google API permissions.

  • Data collected or stored.

  • AI functionality.

  • Data retention practices.

  • Third-party service providers.

  • Security architecture.

If material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
